Mojo Update

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Hi Everyone,

Quite obviously I haven’t written here quite in a while, so I will try to give an short update on everything that has been happening here at Deusty.

First of all, we renamed Maestro to Mojo. Since the renaming, we have released 17 versions of Mojo. Most noteably, we released the 1.0 Windows version of Mojo on March 25, 2008. We have had a lot of questions about the 1.0 version. I would like to clear up any confusion about the lack of Internet capability of the Windows version. We first released Mojo 1.0 for Mac February 20, 2007. The original version of Mojo only included the ability to share over the local network. Keeping in line with the Mac version, the 1.0 version of Windows also only has the ability to share over the local network. We are working as quickly as possible to add the Internet functionality for all you Windows users. Porting software to a completely different operating system takes time, and we appreciate the patience while we finish catching Mojo Windows up to its Mac counterpart. We except to have a Beta release of the 2.0 Windows version of Mojo in the not to distant future.

Next, I would like to mention our recent publicity due to a couple articles written about Mojo on Lifehacker.com and the multitude of ensuing articles and posts. We have seen a huge jump in our user base, and we dealt with a few growing pains soon after. Along those lines, we are doing our best to catch up with support emails, so please be patient. We are excited to continue to grow as Mojo matures. Currently, we are in the process of switching to a new server, which should allow us to keep up with Mojo’s growing popularity. We hope to have the server switch completed sometime next week. We will keep you posted on any outages, which may arise during the switch.

Finally, I would like to say thank you for all the kind words and support from everyone. Hearing first hand about how excited people are about Mojo really drives us to continue to work hard on development.

Thanks again,
Luke Steffen

Maestro 2.0

Friday, July 20th, 2007

It’s been quite a while since we last posted, but I promise we have been working hard. The last few months have been dedicated to readying Maestro 2.0. We are very excited to have it out for everyone to enjoy. Maestro has some very exciting new features.

-Add Internet users to your roster
Add any other Maestro user in the world, and always know when they are online.

-No more router configuration
Now Maestro users are more accessible then ever through integrated router traversal.

-Subscriptions to Internet users
You asked for it, you got it. Library subscriptions are now available over the internet.

-No more 30 day trial
Try it for as long as you want. When you’re convinced that you love it, a full license will be waiting for you.

We appreciate all the feedback we’ve gotten, and we hope you keep on telling us what you think about Maestro. The release of 2.0 has only further committed us to making the best product we can.
